Over 13 years we’ve run 70+ guided weeks in Kyrgyzstan. That’s a lot of photos! In selecting which galleries to feature, four in particular made the cut—all photographed by 40 Tribes’ Founder, Ryan Koupal, back in the day when he had the luxury of spending entire winters at the yurts. Of the many weeks he documented, these (dated 2016-18) stand out. More recently, we’ve hosted a number of guest photographers, and in 2023 we were fortunate to have the talented Connor Nash join our crew. The resulting gallery spans the full length of our season from January to March. If you’re considering joining us, we think you’ll enjoy spending some time digging through all galleries. Each perfectly showcases what our Kyrgyzstan experience is all about and what our private zone has to offer.
